A PARTICULAR JUNE....... lyrics
I WILL LET YOU GO Text & Musik: A.Spranger
Mister Babbitt once again interferes,
he says, “No chance, you won’t receive my cheers."
Our whirl and sneakiness we need to stop,
there’s peace of mind as a reward on top.
Your folks know better, tell me don’t you agree?
Let’s move apart now, please don’t cling to me.
( Look out )
Look out and take care, and I’ll watch over me.
( What comes )
What comes afterwards?
Give up an absolute no go!
( No go )
But now it’s high time to show,
( to show )
I will let you go.
Sent you a message ‘twas not long ago.
No one will suffer and no heads hang low.
Sure time will dry your bitter tears at last,
so rise your head up girl and stop to fast.
( Simple )
Simple things on earth, they don’t really die.
( They just )
They just grow and change.
Give up an absolute no go!
( No go )
But now it’s high time to show,
( to show )
I will let you go.
Sent you a message ‘twas not long ago.
No one will suffer and no heads hang low.
I never ever want to cause you pain,
but all our secrets at least remain.
( Look out )
Look out and take care, and I’ll watch over me.
( What comes )
What comes afterwards?
Give up an absolute no go!
( No go )
But now it’s high time to show,
( to show )
I will let you go.
No longer I can stand your mournful eye,
so it is time to say our last goodbye.
So it is time to say our last goodbye.
ONE MORE CURTAIN IS FALLIN‘
Text & Musik: A. Spranger
Another curtain is fallin‘, another face appears.
Looks like a new day is dawnin’, I can’t hold back my tears.
Will you break down on the ground, just like a wounded row?
Will you find out what it’s like, so eager get to know?
It might be your lovely smile, it might be your slip dress style.
It might be your way you walk, could be the pure way how you talk.
Either way I am completely blown away, at first sight, that’s allright. hm-hm-hm
Your previous try for damn all, nothing but waste of time.
I’ve had a similar fate, it wasn’t worth a dime.
So let’s concede that defeat, the best that could happen by far.
And let’s do something real crazy like two freaky moviestars.
It might be your lovely smile, it might be your slip dress style.
It might be your way you walk, could be the pure way how you talk.
Either way I am completely blown away, at first sight, that’s allright. hm-hm-hm
We’ll do it all the same, with that boost from our appeal.
We’ll try it once again, maybe all deep wounds will heal.
And now I hold you, hold you tight, don’t be afraid of that new height!
And now you hold me, hold me tight, don’t need to ask for a green light!
And now I hold you, hold you tight, don’t be afraid of that new height!
And now you hold me, hold me tight, don’t need to ask for a green light!
One more curtain’s fallin’, your secret soul appears.
Looks like a new day’s dawnin’, we can’t hold back our tears.
BALSAMIC MOON
Text & Musik: A. Spranger
Uranos, the last to climb, there’s not much left to do now.
Exhausting trip, inside myself, searching for that redemption.
My finishing touches,
my last communion,
looking for silent arrangements.
Balsamic moon, you rule my life,
you make me feel these dejavus
Balsamic moon, I’m coming soon.
Crave for charging my drained phase, I can feel my transitoriness.
Presentiments, tightrope walks, every day close to the brink.
Ev’ryone who can see, ev’ryone.
Balsamic moon, you rule my life, you make me feel these dejavus
Balsamic moon, I’m coming soon.
Infinite strive, beyond reach, secret things in a daydream
Ev’ryone who can see, ev’ryone.
Balsamic moon, you rule my life, you make me feel these dejavus
Balsamic moon, I’m coming soon.
Balsamic moon, you rule my life, you make me feel these dejavus
Balsamic moon.
THE STORM IS OVER
Text & Musik: A.Spranger
And now we’ve reached to where we never wanted to get.
Oh, yes, we failed to show a little more respect.
Sparks flew, dishes, vases too.
I have no idea, but hope the sky’s still blue.
The awful storm is over, the evil nightmare’s gone.
There’s no more painful dagger, deep, down in my soul.
Don’t you think it’s peace of mind?
Don’t you think the worst is behind?
Definitely no longer bound to endeavour, to move together.
Sure out of those two diehards nobody could win.
Neither of us made a single move to give in.
Enough regret now, try a look ahead.
Shake off those dreadful painful times instead.
The awful storm is over, the evil nightmare’s gone.
There’s no more painful dagger, deep, down in my soul.
Don’t you think it’s peace of mind?
Don’t you think the worst is behind?
Definitely no longer bound to endeavour, to move together.
Don’t you think it’s peace of mind?
Don’t you think the worst is behind?
Definitely no longer bound to endeavour, to move together.
The awful storm is over, the evil nightmare’s gone.
There’s no more painful dagger, deep, down in my soul.
The awful storm is over, the evil nightmare’s gone.
There’s no more painful dagger, deep, down in my soul.
NO BED OF ROSES
Text & Musik: A. Spranger
Scared by those visions of a spooky nightmare
I wake up strung out, trembling in a chair .
She isn’t there, cause I didn’t take care,
that’s why I have to face a new day in despair.
Don’t want no everlasting cheerless winter,
holds on forever deep in my heart.
We fell apart. I can’t stand that smart.
Anyway I drew the short straw from the start.
Waiting in vain again, messed it up once more for sure.
Bad luck comes out on top, oh, what a flop.
I won’t concede defeat, ‘til the day you’re mine, sometime.
Meanwhile I stun myself. How about some wine? That’s fine.
I take a breeze wrapped in growing disillusion
into a landscape two feet deep in snow.
I miss you so, but I want to show,
that I will never ever want to eat crow.
Waiting in vain again, messed it up once more for sure.
Bad luck comes out on top, oh, what a flop.
I won’t concede defeat, ‘til the day you’re mine, sometime.
Meanwhile I stun myself. How about some wine? That’s fine.
Oh love, sweet love, truely no bed of roses.
We goofed it again, we could not maintain, truely no bed of roses.
Sure I will break a duck, and there’s a little luck.
Let’s leave that dark dead end, stop to offend.
I won’t concede defeat, ‘til the day you’re mine, sometime.
Meanwhile I stun myself. How about some wine?
I won’t concede defeat, ‘til the day you’re mine, sometime.
Meanwhile I stun myself. How about some wine?
That’s fine! Oh so fine! How about some wine? That’s fine!
SORRY, BUT I’M NAPOOH
Text & Musik: A. Spranger
I keep late hours, with the full moon above.
Almost all people dreamin’, or perhaps they make love.
Creepin’ on tiptoe, not bumpin’ into the door.
It’s 4 a-m babe and I hear you snore. ( snore baby )
Fry me some scallops and cram my throat.
And after a goldleaf I slip into my coat.
Don’t want to wake you up, but someone’s callin’ tonight.
It’s 5 a-m babe and I step outside.
Turn up my collar to hide my face, hunting up 10th Avenue.
Head over heels I cross 68th I’m in hurry for you.
Turn to the right at 71st, leave the Broadway behind.
Suddenly then appears that guy I try to find.
Magic illusions, it’s all the same to me,
he looks almost unchained, as far as I can see.
Magic illusions, it’s all the same to me,
anyway, I should watch his lips and listen carefully.
“Once in a lifetime, twice but not trice,
someone is able to crack my ice.
Dear Mrs. (S)tereo: Guru, Grapefruit, GooGoo.
Dear Mr. Boogieeater: Sorry, but I’m napooh.”
Hier noch die Vorstellung der Lieder
des Debütalbums „A Particular June“ durch den Autor selbst:
I WILL LET YOU GO
(…Give up an absolute no go, but now it’s high time to show, I will let you go…)
ONE MORE CURTAIN IS FALLIN’
( Und wieder fällt ein Vorhang )
Auch ein Pop-Song, 1 Stimme, 3 Gitarren, 1 Rock-Organ, 4 Posaunen, Frauenchor
Schlagzeug, Bass
(…will you break down….will you find out what it’s like…)
eine Chance zu geben, (…how you walk….how you talk….either way I’m completely
blown away…)
obwohl man schon enttäuschende Beziehungserfahrungen gemacht hat.
(…your previous try for damn all…waste of time….wasn’t worth a dime…)
( …looks like a new day is dawnin‘, we can’t hold back our tears…)
BALSAMIC MOON
(…ist die Mondphase kurz vor Neumond )
Ein Boogie Woogie in… moll, was sehr selten ist. Für Insider: 35 Takte pro Minute
1 Stimme, Schlagzeug, Bass, Klavier, 2 Posaunen, 2 Saxophone
THE STORM IS OVER
durfte? mußte?(…sparks flew, dishes, vases too…don’t you think it’s peace of mind?...
don’t you think the worst is behind? ...no more painful dagger, deep down in my soul…)
Heureka!
NO BED OF ROSES
( Kein Zuckerschlecken )
Wieder einmal. ( …messed it up once more…)
(…I won’t concede defeat, `til the day you’re mine sometime, meanwhile I stun
myself. How about some wine? )
SORRY, BUT I’M NAPOOH
3 Stimmen, 2 E-Gitarren, 1 Westerngitarre, 1 Klavier, Schlagzeug, Bass
(…anyway, I watch his lips and listen carefully…)
